🌅 60th Annual Easter Sunrise Service on the Beach

Manatee County Public Beach – 4000 Gulf Drive, Holmes Beach
This year marks a milestone—the 60th annual Easter Sunrise Service hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Anna Maria Island. After a challenging year of storms and resilience, this uplifting tradition invites locals and visitors to gather on the beach as the sun rises over the Gulf.
Local pastors and community leaders from AMI’s island churches will come together to lead a heartfelt service filled with scripture, prayer, and inspirational Easter music by Morgan Bryant. Bring a blanket or beach chair, dress for the early morning weather, and arrive early to find your perfect spot. The free island trolley begins running at 6:00 AM, and the Anna Maria Island Beach Café opens at 6:30 AM for that much-needed cup of coffee.
This cherished service draws crowds of over 1,000 people, celebrating faith, unity, and the beauty of our island paradise. Donations collected will benefit local churches and the Kiwanis Club’s scholarship programs.

Sandbar Easter Egg Hunt & Bonnet Contest

Kids aged 10 and under will love the Easter Egg Hunt in the soft white sands beside The Sandbar. Stick around afterward for the festive Easter Bonnet Contest, with prizes for both children and adults who showcase their most creative springtime headwear.
Easter Egg Roll & Bonnet Contest on Pine Avenue

A local favorite, the Easter Egg Roll and Bonnet Contest brings old-fashioned fun and community charm to Pine Avenue. Children roll colorful eggs using wooden spoons while families cheer them on, and everyone’s invited to don a whimsical bonnet and join the contest. Keep your eyes peeled for the Easter Bunny, who never misses a stop on Pine!
